The Rev'd R Christopher Heying began serving as priest to Holy Trinity Church, Bonham in September 2025.
Ordained deacon and priest in 1998, Father Heying served various sized congregations in Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, and Louisiana before he "retired" from full-time parish ministry in 2023. After serving as an adult probation officer for almost two years, Chris recently began as a full-time hospice chaplain. He has served as a supply priest in many congregations throughout the Diocese of Dallas and is delighted to be serving regularly in Bonham.
Chris is married to Cindy, a special education teacher in Lewisville with students who are 18+. They have been married since 1990 and have three adult children, Mary Grace, John Luke, and Patrick. They live in Denton.
